Downer is one of Australia's leading infrastructure and construction companies. Due to growth and expansion we are seeking applications for a SMP Supervisors. Reporting to the SMP Superintendent these roles will be based in the Pilbara region and will be undertaking activities on a Brownfields LNG site.
Key Responsibilities for the role will include but not be limited to:
- Determine labour availability, and workloads for each work order, this also includes R&R coverage
- Direct and control construction activities to ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety and performance are observed and that time schedules are met;
- Provide input into the methodology, review and authorise Work Packs;
- Review and authorise program and completion schedule and delegate activities for the day-to-day direction of field schedule requirements;
- Establish and maintain effective communications with the Company’s representatives, Site Manager and field staff through discussion and direct communications, holding meetings and any arrangements required to ensure a close and good working relationship;
- Ensure reports are regular and communicated to the Site Manager on all field activities, identifying any potential or existing concerns and problems that may affect project performance;
- Report regularly on staff and construction issues and concerns
About You:
- Previous brownfields experience to large scale LNG projects
- Minimum of five years in a similar role preferred
- Trade qualifications are essential
- Good written and communication skills with a strong attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Technical or Trade Certificate in relevant discipline
Skills:
- Sound and established Project Execution knowledge
- Proven leadership ability
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong commitment to zero harm culture.
