Your role

If you're looking for a job that takes you to the top, this is a great place to start. You'll learn how to navigate, run a watch and 'drive' the Navy vessel you're assigned to. In time you'll be in full command of the ship during each watch you keep.

The position offers numerous routes for advancement and promotion within the Navy. Once you have consolidated your Maritime Warfare Officer skills you can further specialise as a:
- Principal Warfare Officer
- Submarine Officer
- Mine Warfare and Clearance Diving Officer, or
- Maritime Geospatial Officer (either Hydrographic or Meteorology and Oceanographic).
