As our next UG Production Engineer reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Location
Leinster Underground Project, Western Australia
Some of your duties will include;
- Provide technical support to the Deputy Underground Manager and Mining Superintendent to ensure delivery of mine plans
- Responsible for short term mine planning and scheduling – 2 weekly plan level down to 48 hours
- Coordinating timely installation of mine infrastructure (pumping, ventilation, electrical, services, refuge chambers etc) for existing and new area
- Support inventory with the management and ordering of explosives
- Continually evaluate, review and determine the most appropriate use of mining methodologies for best project performance
What skills and experience do you need?
- 4+ years experience within underground operations
- Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering or similar
- Self motivated engineer proficient in mine planning, drill & blast design, ventilation monitoring and modelling and underground production systems.
- Experience in project / contract engineering favourable but not essential.
- Experience scheduling with Deswik essential
- Understanding of practical underground operations and ability to provide hands on support to underground team.
- Valid Drivers Licence "C"-Class minimum.
