About the opportunity
In this leadership role you will be responsible for the operation and management of the assigned Mobile Maintenance team. You will lead the work team to achieve sustained improvements and develop standardised work. The key challenges will be to develop the team capabilities to achieve business objectives and lasting improvements in safety.
The Group Leader's activities will include maintaining safety and Mobile Maintenance targets to meet the business plan, optimising crew performance through coordination, coaching and feedback and prioritising Mobile Maintenance activities. The role also ensures Mobile Maintenance activity is carried out in accordance with statutory requirements and within Alcoa operating procedures and the quality system to maintain product and environmental quality.

About you

The successful applicant will be able to communicate with all levels in the organisation and demonstrate strong leadership and decision making skills. Considerable experience in a mining production or Mobile Maintenance environment and a commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment is essential. Demonstrated knowledge and application of safety systems and mining regulations and procedures is also important in this role.
About where you will work
Huntly Bauxite Mine is located in the Darling Range near Dwellingup, approximately 100 kilometres south of Perth. It is the world’s second largest bauxite mine, supplying ore to Alcoa’s Pinjarra and Kwinana alumina refineries. Approximately 620 people work at the mine.
