About the business and the role
ACT Recycling is a family owned business which specialises in managing and recycling construction and demolition waste.
We operate a crushing plant which processes concrete, brick and asphalt to make a range of recycled products. We also sort and recycle construction and demolition waste using a fixed sorting plant.
On site we operate a number of machines and trucks, ranging from front end loaders to 30 ton excavators. There are also a range of mobile plant including stackers, screens, Jaw Crushers etc, all of which are operating 5-6 days a week.
The role will require the successful applicant to develop and manage a strong maintenance system, to maintain and service the machinery and equipment in the most safe, efficient and effective manner.
The successful applicant must be a capable manager and leader, who is willing to help drive this progressive and growing business.
Job tasks and responsibilities
-Leading a maintenance team
-Managing Breakdowns
-Organising servicing schedule
-Prioritising, Planning and Problem Diagnoses
-Ordering Parts and consumables
-Delegating jobs on a daily basis
-Conducting a meeting every morning with maintenance team
-Managing monthly expenses in order to preform under allocated budget.
-Working closely with admin to ensure correct paperwork is administered in relation to parts and consumables orders
-Working closely with operations manager:
- To ensure the integrity of all equipment and machinery
- To orchestrate effective and efficient servicing of equipment and machinery
-Working Closely with the leading hands of both the Sorting and Crushing Plant to ensure effective preventative maintenance is being administered.
-Working Closely with the site manger to ensure effective prioritising and planning.
