About the Client
The Hail Creek open cut coal mine in the Bowen Basin Region of Central Queensland, that is located 120 kilometres from Mackay, supplies up to eight million tonnes of hard coking coal to steel mills in Asia and Europe each year.

About the Role
WorkPac currently have an opportunity for an experienced HV Electrician with proven break down experience. Offering an immediate start at Hail Creek Mine. This role will be ongoing for the right candidate with the potential to go permanent with WorkPac. Ideal Candidates will have experience a minimum 2 years experience servicing and maintaining P&H 9020 Draglines as well as P&H Electric Shovels, 960 Komatsu trucks and MT4400 Terex Experience.
Skills/Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in HV Electrician role.
- Trade certificate.
- Experience on heavy equipment including Komatsu 960 Trucks and Terex MT 4400 Trucks, P&H 9020 Draglines as well as P&H 4100 Shovels
- Current Standard 11.
- Current Coal Board Medical.
- A medical including drug and alcohol testing is required as part of the recruitment process.
- Queensland Electrical trade qualification
- HV switching ticket
- Current LVR / CPR
- Current Qld manual drivers licence
