Origin Group (Qld) Pty Ltd is a Mackay based steel fabrication and engineering company servicing a variety of sectors including mining, construction and the sugar industry.
Responsibilities for the above position include but are not limited to:
- Estimating (Steel Fabrication & Repair)
- Material take-offs
- Site visits
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparation of tender proposals
- Project support
- Building relations with clients and perspective clients.
In addition to the above, the successful person shall be required to actively seek out new opportunities. Exposure to sales will also be beneficial.
Key skills
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Previous experience in steel fabrication
- Attention to detail
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Autocad, MS Project)
- Time management skills
- Customer Focused
- Must be motivated, reliable and looking to develop a long-term career
