Headquarters is located in Victoria, Australia.

We currently have an outstanding opportunity within our small team for a candidate experienced in Capital Equipment Sales who wishes to further develop their impressive career. Your main objective will be to develop new and existing business through sales and marketing initiatives within the Mining sector in order to achieve revenue and continued growth in line with the overall Andritz business strategy.
 
Based in Melbourne at our AUS/NZ head office, responsibilities of this role include;
 

  • Develop new accounts to meet sales targets through effective technical sales of engineering services, capital equipment (new and replacement) & parts in the Mining industry throughout Australia and NZ.
  • The promotion of new technologies, and/or replacement or modernisation of machinery and parts
  • Identify opportunities in the Mining industry throughout Australia and NZ to replace non-Andritz machinery & plant
  • Respond to requests for sales opportunities through the development of proposals including bid formulation, reviews, approvals and submission, in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Post proposal submission,  assist with contract negotiations, reports on bid progress and ultimately, transition successful bids into implementation – all in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Key account management of defined customers throughout Australia and New Zealand
  • Prepare reports about opportunities identified

 

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering background and working knowledge of machinery and processes in a mineral processing environment. An Engineering or Science Degree as well as previous Capital Equipment Sales, particularly in thickening, centrifuge and/or press dewatering, will set you apart from other applicants.


Whilst a background in sales is preferred, individuals who have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate a strong ability to influence others and are results focused, will also be highly regarded.  


This is an exceptional opportunity for those who consider themselves to be at the top their game, to broaden their capabilities with a world leading Industrial OEM. In addition to the opportunity to utilise your engineering proficiency, you will receive training on our equipment and processes at various production locations such as Germany, Austria and the USA within the first 12-18 months. Therefore a willingness and ability to travel is paramount to the success of this role.
