Brunel’s global Oil & Gas Operator client are recruiting an SPS Quality Specialist to lead the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Function for the SPS Team covering the supply of SPS Equipment and Support Services.  

The successful SPS Quality Specialist will manage company surveillance of the Subsea Production System Contractor to ensure compliance with the SPS Agreement, statutory requirements, the SSPL Quality Program, ISO 9001 and API Q1 Quality Management Systems.

Perth based role on initial 20 month contract working 40 hours per week. Only local applicants with Australian working rights will be considered.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensures that the Quality requirements for the project are rigorously applied by the SPS Contractor throughout all project phases including selection of Sub Contractors, engineering, procurement, and fabrication/manufacture/construction and testing.
• Ensure company SPS organization is working to the requirements of the Project Quality Program and associated Plans and Procedures.
• SPS Contractor obligations are followed with respect to implementing and maintaining a QA/QC organization and management system as per the SPS agreement throughout the period of the agreement.
• All Contractor provided deliverables and equipment comply with agreement requirements.
• Manages Company QA/QC Personnel based at Contractor Worksites.
• Manages Company Inspection effort for the SPS Scope.

Experience & Qualifications                

• Degree in Engineering/Construction Management or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 – 15 years’ experience in QA/QC working on offshore projects within the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry in Australia.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of delivering SPS (Subsea Production Systems) Equipment, Wellheads, X trees, Control Systems, Work Over System, Connection Systems, Production Valves, Manifolds and Structures.
• Significant knowledge and experience of common worldwide SPS Contractors to the subsea industry.
• Detailed knowledge of API Codes for SPS equipment
• Experience of working with SPS Contractors that have provided equipment for offshore Australian developments.
