As our next Fitter reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Location
Peak Downs Mine is located 6km south-east of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin.
Role
The successful applicants will join a passionate and energetic team where they will be responsible for providing technical knowledge, support and assistance to Thiess’ maintenance operations. The role will also provide an opportunity to expand your maintenance technical skills and become a leader in the mechanical field.
Requirements
- Heavy diesel fitting trade
- HR driver’s licence preferable
- Post-trade experience working in the mining and heavy earth moving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry
- Experience in general maintenance, tyre fitting, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing mining equipment
Roster & Conditions
- 7 on 7 off rotating shift roster.
- 12.5 hour day & night shift.
- Permanent position.
- A bus will be provided from Mackay to site.
- No flights are/No FIFO provided for this position.
