TADANO Oceania, a wholly owned subsidiary of one of the world-leading mobile lifting equipment manufacturers, is currently seeking for a well-experienced workshop leading hand who can provide our customers with high-quality technical services and, as a playing manger, lead the full operations of our branch workshops in Wetherill Park, NSW. There is an attractive salary package including a fully maintained UTE on offer for the right candidate. 

Main responsibilities and duties:

  • Ensure all service works (workshop and field) are completed in a timely efficient manner, documented accurately, to required specifications in the most cost-effective ways.
  • Complete mechanical repairs and services as required to assist service team to meet customers requirements
  • Ensure sold new/used cranes meet specific delivery requirements and are completed as per work instructions in the most cost-effective ways.
  • Effectively communicate to customers (both internal and external) works progression and immediately address any issues / concerns as they arise.
  • Ensure to fully execute obligations including warranties, product liabilities and modifications associated with recalls.
  • Manage the safe and efficient mechanical workshops operational activities of our NSW workshop covering proposing action plans, resource plans and general management of workshop functions, systems, OHS, control of field service operations and daily workshop related administration functions.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for workshop staff covering technical demonstrations and instructions.  
  • Directly liaise with customers of service contracts and major rebuilds
  • Ensure total customer satisfaction and cost effective workshop and field services output.

A successful candidate might have:

  • Trade qualification (Mechanical)
  • At least 5 years post-qualified experience in mobile crane workshop
  • At least 2 years leading-hand or workshop management experience
  • Ability to build a strong team environment to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Detailed job planning skills to optimise labour efficiency
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage sublet vendors
  • Current drivers license
  • Proven rapport building skills with customers and other stakeholders
  • Fundamental ICT proficiency with Microsoft Suites and Gmail. 
  • Physical capacity to pass pre-employment medical/D&A tests.
