About the business
SME focused energy retail business established for 5 years
About the role
- Managing and maintaining the overall financial processes & systems.
- Monitoring the financial position of the company, including cash flow forecasts and review of effectiveness of hedging instruments.
- Overseeing the effective management of the debtors ledger.
- Preparation of budgets and financial reports including month-end reports.
- Leading the development of various financial models.
- Establishing best practice finance & accounting internal controls, policies and procedures.
Recommending changes to accounting policies as required.
Skills and experience
- Commerce degree or similar (finance, economics, business etc)
- CA/CPA qualified
- MUST have electricity industry experience
- Advanced user of MYOB or Quickbooks
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Continual process improvement mindset
- Excellent attention to detail
- Results focussed
- Strong time management & organisational skills
Effective communications skillsPrevious experience essential
