About the business and the role
SMS Innovative Mining are a privately owned and operated business with Workshops based in Perth and Kalgoorlie. We seeking applications from experienced Maintenance Coordinators to join our team based in our Perth Head Office.
The Role
As a Maintenance Coordinator you will be reporting to the General Manager of Maintenance, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results. This position is Perth based with regular site visits.
To provide support to our ongoing Mining Services Operations, the Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for support to the Maintenance Superintendents on site and ensuring our fleet achieve maximum availability for minimal cost. You will provide leadership and direction to all maintenance personnel, with a focus on maintaining a safe, reliable and productive site.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Your duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Manage and execute maintenance work using efficient equipment servicing strategies to achieve targeted service times and schedule compliance rates
- Scheduling Major Component Plans and Organizing Major Components
- Ensure that work is completed within allowed budget and resources
- Develop and strengthen Maintenance related practices
- Promote a safe and positive workplace
- Clear and precise reporting to the General Manager of Maintenance
Skills and experience
- Mechanical trade certificate
- AMT and Entire maintenance related packages
- Extensive post trade or relevant mobile maintenance experience in a mining environment
- Previous supervisory experience
- A strong commitment to health, safety, environment and the community
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work in a high-pressure environment
