About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent - Maintenance Fixed Plant, the Supervisor Fixed Plant will be responsible for managing a multi skilled workgroup to effectively execute planned and corrective maintenance for the CHPP, ROM and train loadout. In this role you will be required to encourage, engage and empower your workgroup to challenge existing operating efficiencies and to drive business and process improvements to optimise plant availability.
In this role you will:
- Coach and mentor a multi skilled workgroup to deliver maintenance activities safely within budget and timeframes;
- Work collaboratively within the stakeholder group to identify improvement opportunities and implement initiatives;
- Drive adherence to schedule and plan through 1SAP work management key metrics;
- Manage contractor performance and ensure compliance with mine and legislative requirements;
- Work closely with the Maintenance leadership team to monitor and maintain the maintenance budgets and take part in monthly and yearly forecast expenditure; and
- Step up opportunity to the Maintenance Superintendent as required.
About you
The ideal candidate will have an engineering or trade qualification and relevant experience in a fixed plant environment. Exposure to Computerised Maintenance Systems (1SAP) and Microsoft office suite is essential, in order to drive work management compliance. An understanding of the QLD Coal Mining H&S act will be highly regarded.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.
