Job tasks and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced CHPP Production Supervisor to join our team at MTW CHPP. Reporting to the CHPP Production Superintendent, you will lead the CHPP Production Team each shift in line with Yancoal's values to deliver improved safety, productivity and efficiency.
This role is a great opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate all required leadership and team membership principles. Working a seven day rotating roster (12 hour shifts), you will:
- Ensure the safety of yourself and all team members onsite via effective safety leadership
- Ensure our licence to operate is maintained to a high level. This is achieved by full compliance to necessary workplace inspections and housekeeping activities during the shift
- Provide leadership to deliver the operating plan
- Lead the team to improve performance and develop the culture in the team which supports business goals
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- A sound working knowledge of SAP
- An understanding of coal quality and train loading
- A strong working knowledge of mining and processing equipment
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience
It will also be beneficial if you have a mechanical or electrical trade and experience in the mining industry.
