We are currently seeking experienced truck Operators known in the Solar Group as Solar Mixing Truck (SMT) to express interest in a position for the operation of units used in the delivery of explosives on a mine site.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Calibration and maintenance of a SMT
- Safe handling and processing of dangerous goods
- Assist shotfirers when required
- Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly activity reports
- Experience in operation of multi product SMT’s
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic power and control systems
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and manage problems quickly and efficiently
- Establish and maintain beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
The successful candidate would also need:
- At least 2 years' experience as an SMT Operator
- Standard 11 – Surface Induction
- Current Queensland Coal Board Medical
- RIIs and associated paperwork
- SSAN Security Clearance;
- HC/MC Class Driver's License;
- High Risk Forklift Ticket;
- Dangerous Goods Driver's License;
- An understanding of managing safety risks in the work place;
