About the role

Grid Connection Technical Manager-taking a lead role in the design and grid connection assessment of Sungrow's power plant project.

The core functions of the Grid Connection Technical Manager include the undertaking of conceptual design, modelling and relative reporting . : 

 

  • Supporting and progressing of Grid connection applications and analysis of resulting offers.
  • Negotiation with the relevant department on technical requirements contained in the grid offers and connection agreements which is using sungrow power plan solution .
  • Conduct and support EPC or Developer on grid connection/compliance studies
  • develop and improve PSSE and PSCAD grid model to comply with AEMO and DNSP 's requirement 
  • Technical accuracy of studies/investigations carried out and the analysis .
  • Preparation of high quality technical reports ,such as grid connection assessments.
  • provide support and guidance to the grid engineers.

Skills and experience

  1. Experience modelling and testing with PSS®E software
  2. Experience with PSCAD carrying out dynamic simulations, model coding and testing.
  3. Experience working with AEMO, Transmission NSPs, Distribution NSPs and/or clients
  4. Knowledge and experience in high voltage protection systems, and/or generator control systems for large scale grid connected traditional and renewable generation and batteries
  5. Knowledge of the National Electricity Rules (NER) or equivalent state/territory based rules/codes
  6. Masters or PhD in electrical engineering would be highly regarded
