We are entering an exciting growth phase of our business as we expand our service offering here and in SE Asia. We require the services of an experienced NDT technician to support this growth. We are a Perth based company but this role will include offshore work on MODU’s and other structures outside of Australia
Role duties and Responsibilities
- Operate tools and equipment to accomplish job assignments and client requirements.
- Inspect and interpret readings as required in real time, to determine areas of interest.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications.
- Set-up and calibrate equipment used, interpret, evaluate, and document results through formal reports.
- Provide direction and guidance with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by Focus Subsea.
- Responsible for paperwork to be completed in a timely manner including safety forms, company required forms, customer forms, and timesheets.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally.
- Work with minimal supervision and manage own workloads
- Mentor and train co-workers assigned to you through on the job training in safe work practices, technical skills and compliance with company policy.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment for all staff ensuring all company policies are being followed.
Skills and experience
The essential requirements of this role include:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in NDT (AINDT, or similar) documentation of prior training, experience and certification required.
- Level II Certification in eddy current.
- Continuous improvement mindset and a strong customer focus.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
Desirable skills and experience include:
- Level II Certifications in Ultrasonic Testing and Magnetic Particle Inspection.
- Tertiary qualification in a technical discipline.
- Experience in working with ISO Quality Systems.
- Proven performance in team situations.
