Maintenance Superintendent

Hunter Valley, NSW

Reporting to the Operation’s Engineering Manger, an opportunity exists for a maintenance professional to join a large open-cut coal operation in the Hunter Valley in the role of Maintenance Superintendent. In this role, you will provide effective leadership to a multi-disciplined supervisory and heavy maintenance execution team.  Your effective leadership, in conjunction with your support and development of the site’s asset management framework will ensure that your team’s safety, reliability, operational and cost targets are met. You will demonstrate unwavering commitment to the Company’s values, lead by example at all times and ensure compliance to all HSEC and legislative requirements.

You will have a related trade supported by qualifications in frontline leadership and maintenance management or engineering qualifications, with significant experience and demonstrated success in leadership roles, involving multi-disciplinary teams in a heavy maintenance environment.

Experience with the development of maintenance operational and capital budgets, computerised maintenance management systems, along with a strong technical understanding of Caterpillar Trucks and ancillary equipment, as well as large hydraulic excavators will be highly regarded, as will a demonstrated ability in managing maintenance related contracts and the successful delivery of projects up to $5m.
