About the Position:
Our Client is looking for resourceful, creative and passionate professionals who want to build a world class career with one of Australia's most complex and unique businesses. They are a leading steel distributor, manufacturer and recycler and operates integrated steelworks which includes ironmaking, steel making and rolling-mill facilities. The Steel Products department incorporates the Rolling Mill, Shapes Finishing End, Material Handling & Despatch, Rail Plant and Trak-lok operational units.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Steel Products Maintenance Manager some of the responsibilities will include:

Contribute to the business success of Steel Products by improving the condition and productive capacity through asset management

Development of a maintenance strategy that will support the overall Steel Products throughput and conversion cost targets.

Providing high level of customer service to clients

Application of external & internal maintenance and engineering standards

Standardisation of maintenance processes within Steel Products through effective coordination and coaching of the plant reliability engineers and the reliability improvement initiatives.

Provide a strong leadership focus on the core values of safety and the customer
Skills and Experience:
-
You will have relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and/or relevant maintenance and project management experience gained within heavy manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated experience in process and reliability improvement methodologies

Proven track record in identifying and understanding key drivers in complex manufacturing environments, while managing significant budgets

Well-developed communication and leadership skills
-
Demonstrable experience in engaging and building relationships to ensure understanding and focus is maintained on the key drivers within the Steel Products
