The Conoco Phillips Darwin LNG Plant has been in operation supplying Liquefied Natural Gas to the Japanese market since 2006. Downer, as the maintenance contractor, provides support and resources to Conoco Phillips to ensure the successful completion of planned core, project and shutdown maintenance activities.
Downer is currently seeking a Paint & Blast Supervisor to join our Fabric Maintenance Team. Being responsible for scoping, estimating hours, compiling material take offs, assisting with work packing and supervising craft labour you will ensure that all planned maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with site requirements, schedule, safety, quality and productivity objectives for the project.
Reporting to the Fabric Maintenance Coordinator you will work closely with other team members to ensure the integration between planning and execution is achieved.
The role will be based in Darwin at the Darwin LNG facility and will be residential only.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring full compliance with Downer and Conoco Phillips Zero Harm policies and procedures
- Embrace and actively participate and encourage others to participate in the Conoco Phillips "WAVES" (We All Value Each other's Safety) programme
- Conduct regular workplace audits and inspections
- Attend and contribute to scope kick off meetings
- Build out SAP work orders operational steps to show resource and materials requirements
- Initiate ISSoW permit requests and facilitate permit readiness with operations
- Attend planning meetings as required and provide input on scope readiness and progress
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 5 years experience gained in a similar maintenance role on an LNG facility either on or offshore
- NACE 1 qualification mandatory, NACE 2 preferred
- Team player with exceptional communication skills to manage a team of diverse backgrounds and experience
- Strong experience and knowledge with quality reporting and processes.
- Experienced with developing permits, risk assessments, presenting prestart meetings
- Sound computer skills using the Microsoft suite
- Sound SAP experience highly regarded
- Cert IV Business (Frontline Management) or Leadership or equivalent highly regarded
