Mount Isa Mines is looking for a Mine Engineer to be responsible for a variety of operational and technical tasks supporting Mount Isa Copper Operation mining projects. This challenging role will see you work closely in a multidisciplinary team to ensure organisational and project goals are met.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing operational and technical support to the BRC sub level cave development project
• Support projects allowing transition from Open stoping to Sub level caving operations
• Mine design and engineering of underground stoping and caving projects
• Assistance with management of mining contractors

You will have the following:

• Operational experience in mechanised underground mining operations
• Ability to work autonomously
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (mining engineering or similar)
• Exposure to mining software in Including Deswik
• Excellent communication skills

The position is a residential position based in Mount Isa.
