As the Mining Service Manager in NSW, you will work closely with Regional Management and play a vital role in implementing area strategies delivering exceptional aftermarket sales and support through Komatsu’s Branch Network. This is a key leadership role in our business and through clear communication with your local customer support team you will ensure alignment of strategic objectives and drive a culture of continuous improvement to exceed customer expectations and improve business efficiencies. This is a full-time permanent role at our Rutherford branch, however you will have the opportunity to travel to customer sites across NSW.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the Customer Support team is following all company and customer HSE requirements
  • Ensure clear communication protocols are in place to ensure the alignment of regional office and Branch offices
  • Lead the implementation of service solutions through the branches to meet customer expectations
  • Ensure the use of company systems and processes throughout the Customer Support team, including pricing and estimation, and rebuilds
  • Ensure that Warranty claims process is being followed and the Branches are proactively pursuing actions for closure
  • Drive growth and customer satisfaction through the Monthly Branch Opportunity Meetings through inter-department collaborative review of ICT data
  • Implement business efficiency programs for Service with the Regional Service Manager & Regional Commercial Manager
  • Lead the Customer Support Team in the achievement of agreed performance targets and the facilitation of clear accountabilities
  • Associated people management responsibilities such as employment relations, performance management, employee development, guidance and coaching.

Key competencies required:

  • Strategic development capability
  • Service and operations experience in an OEM environment
  • Good technical understanding
  • High level of communications ability across all levels of company and customer
  • Excellent Relationship management capability both internal and external
  • Process improvement and change management experience
  • Experience with a geographically dispersed branch working environment
  • Commercial knowledge with financial analysis understanding.
