About You:
Due to our growing fleet and client base, we are currently seeking a Maintenance Leading Hand at our Dampier coastal spillage operation. Working an easy 5/2-4/3 roster, the successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, strong leadership and will use their initiative to effectively manage their workload and have diagnostic skills across a range of equipment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and air systems;
- Ensure crew maintenance production is maintained;
- Safety leadership;
- Identify and propose investments to support effective task completion by the crew;
- Major repairs and servicing of a variety of equipment from bobcats and road trucks through to large wheel loaders and dump trucks;
- Ensure equipment is maintained safely and timely to minimise cost and increase productivity;
- Undertake necessary risk and pre-task assessments;
- Technical guidance & support to operations personnel;
- Effective management of documentation and reporting as per client and company requirements.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Trade Qualified as Heavy Duty Mechanic
- CAT equipment experience;
- Valid HR drivers licence as a minimum;
- Air con ticket highly regarded;
- Forklift ticket highly regarded;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to work safely;
- Good time management and work prioritisation skills;
