This is 12 month fixed term opportunity to lead the Rail Safety Team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, contractual and Queensland Rail Governance and Management Framework is managed and to ensure that the operational safety performance of Travel and Tourism is maintained and improved through the development and implementation of strategies that support the business objectives.
The Senior Adviser Rail Safety is be a key member of our Safety Travel and Tourism team. We are looking for candidates who have extensive proven experience in a similar role in a large complex, transport related or heavy industry organisation. Your ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the business to drive and influence change will ensure your success in this role.
Qualifications in WHS or Rail safety equivalent will be highly regarded.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Extensive knowledge in application of rail safety and workplace health and safety legislation.
- Extensive knowledge in the application of risk and change management.
- High level of leadership skills and leading a team.
- High level of skill in research, analysis, report development and leveraging achievement through networks.
- High level of skill in facilitating systems implementation and maintenance in group environments.
- High level of interpersonal and group communication and facilitation skills.
There will be some travel to regional areas required in this position .

Starting Salary $103,000 plus Superannuation
