Workshop Auto Electrician

Barminco Ltd is currently seeking a suitably experienced Auto Electrician (Preferably someone who is with in the first few years post completing their trade) for our Hazelmere workshop based in Perth, WA with a strong focus on mining equipment and air conditioning repairs. No need to be experienced on underground gear, just to be trade qualified in Heavy Mobile Plant. If you have some Heavy Machinery experience and you're looking for the opportunity to advance your skills and learn in a great workshop environment then this will be the role for you.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the position offered is a 5:2 roster based in Perth and 49.5 hours a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct all preventative & scheduled maintenance on underground mobile equipment, drills and light vehicles;
• Electrical fault and failure diagnostics as required;
• Parts identification and parts ordering;
• A high regard for and practice health and safety always.

Minimum Requirements:

• Licensed Auto Electrical fitter
• Air Conditioning Licence
• Positive attitude & ability to work independently
• A proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification.
• A positive work ethic in line with company values.
• Experience working with Underground Mobile Mining Equipment is highly desired but not essential
• Ability to read schematics
• Reliable
• Committed
• Can use their own initiative
