Overview
Working at our Telfer mine site, this role will have you responsible for completing planning and/or scheduling activities using SAP, ensuring compliance with the Newcrest Work Management System thereby providing a best practice planning and scheduling service to the maintenance and operations department. Furthermore, you will support Newcrest's Operating Framework and a Target Zero approach to Safety by ensuring safe working practices, OHS legislation, Company Safety Management Systems and Environmental plans are implemented.
Your key responsibilities as the Maintenance Planner include:
- Execute the Maintenance Business Process for planning/scheduling.
- Comply with quality specifications and authority levels set out in the Work Management System documentation.
- Plan approved maintenance work orders for resource procurement and execution prior to the Required Date.
- Schedule approved maintenance work orders for execution prior to the Required Date.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful planning and scheduling of work orders for completion by their required date.
- Plan and schedule work to minimise the impact on operating performance without exceeding the Required Date for work completion.
- Plan work to minimise the demand for resources without exceeding the Required Date for work completion.
- Comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
- Continuously monitor maintenance strategies and implement where identified.
The current roster for this role is 8 days on, 6 days off.

About You
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, where you gained maintenance planning and scheduling experience, ideally on fixed plant equipment.
- Experience with modern maintenance techniques and computerised maintenance management systems, such as SAP. Class C Driver's license or equivalent.
- Electrical trade qualification or equivalent.
