The Consolidated Minerals Group (ConsMin) was acquired in May 2017 by Ningxia Tianyuan Manganese Industry Co (TMI), a world leading manufacturer of electrolytic manganese metals, based in China.

ConsMin is recognised as one of the world’s leading manganese producers and has operating mines in Australia and Ghana. ConsMin’s Pilbara based Woodie Mine site resumed mining in October 2017 following a period of care and maintenance.

We are currently recruiting for an Auto Electrician at our Woodie Manganese Operations, situated 407kms south - east of Port Hedland in the Pilbara, working on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful applicant will be required to:

• Maintain company Mining Fleet which consists of predominantly Cat, Hitachi and Komatsu equipment i.e. Hitachi EX 2500 & Komatsu PC 2000, PC1250 Excavators, Cat 980H, 988H, 992K & 988K Loaders, Cat 16M Graders, Cat D10t & 854K Dozers, Cat Haulmax 39000E, 777F/G & 785 C/D Dump Trucks & 777F Water Carts;
• Electrical troubleshooting and repairs;
• Installation of component;
• Have extensive industry air conditioning experience with good diagnosis skills;
• Ensure safe working practises and good housekeeping;
• Work independently as well as part of the mobile maintenance team;
• Liaise with other workshop personnel to complete tasks;
• Be self-motivated, proactive and express a positive attitude and have a keen interest in pursuing a career in mining.

The following skills and experience are essential:

• Cert III Auto Electrician trade -Heavy (Australia recognised);
• Current Air Conditioning licence;
• Possess a HR drivers licence (desirable);
• Extensive product knowledge of Hitachi, CAT & Komatsu equipment;
• Experience in performing auto electrical and air condition repairs on mining equipment
• Previous experience working in workshop and field service environment;
• Excellent organisational and communication skills;
• Outgoing personality demonstrating initiative and strong attention to detail
• Willingness to improve and add knowledge to the team.
