About the role

 

We require an experienced OSH Specialist with hygiene qualifications to lead the development and continual improvement of the occupational hygiene portfolio, and provide OSH consultancy, coordination and support services to the business.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the Corporation's Occupational Hygiene strategy, including the hygiene monitoring plan and health surveillance program.
  • Provide expertise, information and consultancy in corporate occupational hygiene, from simple to complex issues (including asbestos, radiation, fluoridation, and noise) and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to control the risks.
  • Manage the process to ensure workplace and personal monitoring assessments are completed, and provide advice on risk mitigation (e.g. Audiometric and lung function testing)
  • Advising on legislative and industry standard requirements as they relate to Occupational Hygiene

What you will need for this role

  • Degree level qualification in an Occupational Safety and Health related field or Post Graduate degree in Occupational Hygiene
  • A minimum of three (3) years broad ranging occupational hygiene experience in a large multi-disciplined organisation.
  • Membership of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH)
  • Substantial experience and demonstrated capability and knowledge of delivering occupational hygiene strategies, consultancy and delivery services, and influencing OSH strategies, plans, programs, systems, and cultural change initiatives.
