Residential Role
THE POSITION
Reporting to the Production Superintendent we are seeking a Team Leader. The position is responsible for all aspects of the day to day operations of the department and to maintaining a safe and productive working environment within the team and with other departments. You will be required in the absence of the Production Superintendent to support and report directly to the Production Manager. This position is a residential but shift based (14 x 7) role with relocation assistance provided for the successful applicant to move to a relaxed and laid back lifestyle living on the cooler coast. Company housing is supplied rent free with generous company allowances to cover most general domestic services. Private health cover is also offered to employees and their family.

Duties will include but not be limited to;
- Ensure all statutory requirements are complied with
- Ensure all safe work practices are adhered to
- Support and promote Company Policies and Procedures
- Ensure that Quality Management System is implemented and followed
- Evaluate current operating procedures and review
- Conduct risk assessments on all new and / or changing formats on site
- Supervise co-workers and interact and liaise with other departments on site
- Maintain discipline as set out in the Onslow Salt Enterprise Agreement and the Company Policies and Procedures
- Ensure your shift meets with daily targets
- Work together with management for continuous improvement of production systems and procedures
- Assemble and prepare reports as directed
- Be committed to safety at all times, and the design and improvement of safety systems
Requirements of the position:
- Current ‘HR’ WA Driver’s License
- Be able to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, obtain a National Police Clearance and be able to obtain and retain a Maritime Security Identification Card
- Be logical and methodical in approach to responsibilities
- Sound computer skills within Microsoft Office
- Be highly motivated and have the capacity to encourage and develop a focused team
- Experience in a similar role and environment
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality system
- Certificate IV in Front Line Management
