Team Leader Mechanical Excellent leadership and development opportunity Be part of a global mining organisation with an exceptional safety culture FIFO from Perth - 2 weeks on and 1 week off roster - Argyle Diamond Mine About the roleWe are looking for a Team Leader Mechanical to lead a maintenance team in a manner which achieves ongoing safety, reliability, quality, environmental, and cost objectives, whilst managing and driving the performance of direct reports. This role leads a team of mechanical trade people responsible for maintaining underground and surface fixed plant equipment.This role is a great opportunity and is critical to the success of the next chapter in the long and proud history of Argyle. The mine is now entering an exciting phase and with a strong focus on safety, cost and operational improvements will provide a rewarding work environment. Working a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster and reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent, you will be: Responsible for supervising a team of mechanical trade people to maintain underground and surface fixed plant infrastructure, this includes crushers, conveyors, screening plants, pumping systems etc Ensuring your team members are competent to perform assigned tasks and all work is performed according to safety and best practice guidelines. Ensuring maintenance is performed according to a defined work management cycle. Developing and further improving the safety culture of your operational team. Working cooperatively and collaboratively with the leadership and operational teams. Establishing and maintaining productive and genuine working relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders. About youTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have: Mechanical trade certificate or relevant degree Fixed plant maintenance experience in the mining industry with underground experience preferred Proven experience in successfully leading a maintenance team that safely achieves reliable plant operation A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and team engagement A demonstrated understanding of mining safety procedures and risk management A working knowledge of SAP or equivalent CMMS Solid computer skills with competence in using Microsoft Office products Where you will be workingRio Tinto owns and operates the Argyle diamond mine in the remote East Kimberley region of Western Australia.
