About the role and Project
This is your chance to join the Mount Isa Copper Operations (MICO) Redpath team in an exciting Ground Support role. The Glencore Mount Isa Copper Mine is located in the heart of Mount Isa, close to local amenities in a family friendly community environment. The MICO Redpath team benefit from a near new fleet and the job security that comes from being in the early stages of a long term contract. The role will offer you the opportunity to progress your career in a small team environment where safety leadership and performance is valued.
Duties
- install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and electronic components on fixed and mobile plant;
perform fault finding, diagnostics and repair or replacement of electrical components; - ensure machinery is maintained to meet site requirements;
- assist with minor mechanical repairs and services as required.
Skills & Experience
- Auto Electrical Trade Qualification;
- experience working with underground/heavy duty equipment including sprayers & agis;
- strong fault finding and diagnostic skills;
- able to read electrical schematics;
- ability to pass pre-employment medical;
- valid manual drivers licence
- demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision;
- A safety approach in keeping with Redpath's motto Safety - First, Last and Always.
