About the Role
Ongoing opportunities exist for skilled and experienced Drill Fitters who will contribute to the successful operations of the mine site. You will work within the Drill Fitting Team reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties and responsibilities
• Maintaining and repairing equipment, in a safe, efficient and competent manner
• Using trade skills and experience to ensure that maintenance and repair work is to the standard and expectations of Action Drill & Blast
• Mentoring Trainee Drill Fitters and Servicepersons
• Undertake site safety requirements as detailed in the MSIA 1994 and AS4801
• An absolute commitment to working safely, complying with all site safety standards and ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace is essential.
• Follow all mine site procedures including equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance.
Skills/Experience
• Prior experience maintaining and repairing Drills in a mine site environment
• Trade certificate – Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel
• Beneficial tickets – Working at Heights, Forklift, Crane etc.
• Live within the Hunter Valley area
• Willing to undergo a Pre Employment Medical Assessment – Order 43 medical including drug and alcohol testing is required as part of the recruitment process.
