Arrow Energy is an integrated coal seam gas (CSG) company that explores and develops gas fields, produces and sells CSG and generates electricity.

Arrow produces CSG from fields in the Surat Basin in southern Queensland and the Bowen Basin in central Queensland. We have been safely and sustainably developing CSG since 2000 and supplying it commercially since 2004.

We own one of Queensland's largest power stations, Braemar 2 near Dalby, and we have interests in two others, giving us enough generation capacity to power around 800,000 homes.

On 1 December 2017, Arrow agreed one of the largest gas supply deals on Australia’s east coast, to bring to market our significant gas reserves in the Surat Basin.

To meet our growing demands, we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer Off Plot to join our team.

Reporting to the Project Manager Tipex, your primary focus will be to provide project engineering/project management for all works associated with assigned projects for Portfolio Projects required to support SGP and Arrow’s Brownfield Projects.


In addition you will:

• Adopt standard safe work practices and procedures in accordance with Arrow’s safety policies;
• Direction of field personnel and contractors engaged in engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning to achieve targets;
• Lead & coordinate front-end planning, approvals, and internal engineering and commissioning/handover to operations;
• Preparing and overseeing HSSE management for a portfolio of projects;
• Preparing and overseeing Quality Assurance and Quantity Surveying;
• Ensuring project milestones are achieved within approved schedules;
• Manage projects risk and implement mitigations in order to minimise project risk exposure;
• Facilitate & lead the development of budgets, schedules and documentation for budget approval;
• Ensuring project costs are controlled within approved budgets/cost estimates
• Coordination of project internal resources and close liaison/integration with Arrow’s departments;
• Provide construction work packs to Construction Department for execution of projects;
• Report weekly and monthly (and adhoc reporting) to management on Project progress and issues, including resolution activities.

 To be successful in the role, you will:

• An Engineering Degree relevant to CSG Industry.
• Proven experience in the construction, mining and / or oil and gas industries.
• Experience in Project Management and it best practice implementation.
• Experience in the management of subcontractors / consultants.
• Experience in risk mitigation to enable timely project delivery.
• Experience in schedule and cost management.
