Energy Developments Ltd (EDL) is an integrated energy company engaged in the development and management of an international portfolio of energy projects, with particular focus on renewable waste fuels, remote power station operations, waste coal mine gas projects and the rapidly expanding liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry.
The following position is currently recruited for:
LFG Mechanical Technician (Perth)
This position is based at our Tamala Park/Red Hill Power Stations in Perth. The roster will be Monday to Friday. The position will report to the WA LFG Supervisor.
The purpose of the position is to operate or maintain LFG power station plant and equipment in a reliable and cost efficient manner in order to maximise operating availability. Ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental performance are adhered to.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain a range of Gas fired Caterpillar and Deutz engine generators.
- Maintain a range of Diesel Caterpillar, Deutz and Cummins engine generators.
- Maintain and operate Pronto Maintenance Management System.
- Ensure compliance with H & S, Work Cover, Office of Energy Safety and all legislation and regulations are abided by.
- Be responsible and show urgency towards Customer needs in this essential service industry.
- Show initiative and a willingness to undertake ongoing training both internal and external to the Company.
- Well field maintenance and gas monitoring.
- Attend to call outs when rostered on.
- Ensure good site housekeeping.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills required are:

Mechanical trade certificate.
- Experience in Engine Management and Electrical/Mechanical Systems.
- Experience in the Operation and Maintenance of a modern Power Station preferred.
- Experience with Engine Management Control systems an advantage.
- 5 years Industrial safety experience.
- Knowledge of Pronto Maintenance Management System an advantage.
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Good Communications and Report writing skills.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience with Landfill Gas Power Stations will be highly regarded.
- The successful candidate will be flexible, work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, commitment and strong communication skills on a daily basis.
