We have an outstanding opportunity for 3 additional Cable Jointers to join our Underground team. Reporting directly to the Delivery Team Leader, you will be a key member of the Underground team in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of one of our key network services contracts.
The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the maintenance and construction on customer distribution, sub-transmission cable assets.
General responsibilities of this role include:
- Jointing and termination of underground HV/LV power cables, telecommunications cables and associated civil activities
- Adhere to Company Policies, Quality Systems and Health, Safety and Environmental
- Procedures as well as statutory requirements
- Emergency response on customer distribution, sub-transmission cable assets.

Who you are
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills, education and experience:
- Hold an accredited Cable Jointing qualification
- Proficiency in the required methods of jointing, terminating, insulation and testing of cables
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory and circuit diagrams
- Ability to prioritise tasks and time manage with varying degrees of supervision.
Please note: you must possess a current Australian driver’s licence as travel between sites will be required.
