The ideal candidate will have extensive transmissions experience and be responsible for testing and adjusting transmissions components. This will include performing bench measurements, fault diagnostics, maintenance such as cleaning and checking performance as per equipment specifications, repair when necessary and perform related duties as assigned.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor your roster will be 5 days on 2 days off, with a rotating schedule of 2 weeks of dayshift, 2 weeks of nightshift.
Essential Criteria:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Demonstrated powertrain rebuild experience
- Current C Class Licence
- Forklift and Dogging Ticket
- Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools, such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
- Familiarity with service literature
- Excellent diagnostics skills
- Ability to read and follow schematic diagrams
