Forestry Corporation of NSW is the largest manager of commercial native and plantation forests in NSW, with over two million hectares of state forests.
The Softwood Plantations Division of Forestry Corporation of NSW manages over 200,000 hectares of softwood plantations across NSW supplying over 3.2 million tonnes of log products annually.
We produce enough timber to construct a quarter of the houses built in Australia each year!
We are currently looking for a Sales & Procurement Manager to join our senior leadership team within the Softwood Plantation Division.
This position is responsible for leading the sales of our products and procurement of forest services contracts that will enhance our financial and operational marketing outcomes.
This role will oversee and manage the Sales & Procurement team of 3 who are based across NSW. This position can be based at any of our main regional hubs which include West Pennant Hills, Bathurst or Tumut.
Reporting to the General Manager – Softwood Plantation Division, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Sound knowledge of softwood plantation operations, timber processing and associated commercial transaction
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining customer and supplier relationships, contract negotiation and management
- Experience in analysing complex commercial, operational and financial problems
- Ability to manage and develop detailed financial analysis, documentation and legal contracts associated with sales and procurement
- Ability to negotiate outcomes in a commercial environment
- Flexibility to travel regularly
