We are looking for a CNC Machinist to join our Perth, WA team.

Schlumberger Peak Well Systems is seeking the services of suitably qualified CNC Machinist to join our team in Perth, Western Australia.  This position may be required to work a shift roster, including night-shift.

The successful candidates will work in a team comprised of other skilled machinists who are joining responsible for running effectively and efficiently Peak’s CNC machines to ensure on-time delivery of a first-class service to our Client’s whilst maintaining the highest quality of product.

Requirements:

• Reside in Australia and have the full right to live and work in Australia.

• No travel restrictions.
• 5+ years proven CNC programming capability to a high standard.
• Operation and setting of CNC machines ensuring maximum run-times .
• Determination of machining sequence and approach.
• Undertake all activities to the highest standard to ensure quality is maintained whilst ensuring minimum ‘scrap’ material.
• Delivery all activities consistent with Peak and Schlumberger’s QHSE expectations, ensuring safety and quality are a priority.
• Carry out all reporting requirements, such as incident reporting.
• Maintain a very high 5S standard within the workshop and be seen to lead by example.
• Reading and understand engineering drawings.
• First Level inspection.
• Tool selection.
• Manufacture of production and prototype components.
• Achieving targets in respect of output and quality.
• Provide training and mentoring to other personnel as required.
• Ensure all processes, procedures and documentation are followed within the machining centre.
• Qualified CNC Machinist with 1st Class Trade Papers.
• Extensive experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably with Fanuc control system on complex metal parts.
• Okuma OSP Controller experience highly regarded and/or Doosan Puma and HAAS .
• Experienced in reading and writing programs in ISO (G-Code) and using conversational software.
• Experience with Fanuc manual i-Guide (Doosan EZ Guide).
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Capable of reading and understanding comprehensive engineering drawings.
• Experience with small and one-off batch runs, varying run-times and a large product portfolio.
• High level inspection skills using measuring equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Professional attitude and proven work ethic.
• Team player, self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised while clearly executing instructions.
