The Endeavor Mine (Zn-Pb-Ag) is an underground mine that commenced operation in 1983 and was acquired by CBH Resources in 2003.  Later in 2010 CBH Resources was wholly acquired by parent company Toho Zinc based in Japan.  With extensive smelting businesses in Japan Toho’s acquisition of CBH Resources makes the combined group a vertically integrated zinc producer in what is an excellent time for the zinc metal market.

We have commenced implementation of our latest 3 year plan which has seen a significant extension to the life of mine.  We can't wait to share the progress with you.  A couple of highlights for you to ponder until we meet;

1.       720,000 tonnes ore per year from an underground mine for at least the next 3 years; 2018, 2019 and 2020 with exploration upside identified that will extend the operation well into the 2020's.

2.       In addition to retaining the two existing jumbos in operation a development contractor has been mobilised and have commenced decline and level development for our newly identified ore resources in Target 2/4 and over a million tonnes in the deep zinc lode.

3.       Some $5.7m of new and rebuilt equipment has already been purchased including a brand new jumbo and loader.

4.       Over $2.5m per year for the next 3 years will be invested in diamond drilling to extend the reserves.  Drilling is well underway in Target 2/4 with the plan to have the resource drilled off two levels in advance of development.

5.       Construction of a causeway in the tailings dam to support tailings deposition for 2018 and then a wall lift in 2019 that will support deposition out to 2025.

6.       Over $20m in the next 3 years on structural steel maintenance projects with refurbishment works recently completed in the shaft and underground crusher.

7.       Over the next 3 years a total of over $85m in capital is planned that will support the asset for production well past 2020 as we work in realizing our exploration potential with over 40km of strike length held in the highly prospective Cobar basin.

We continue to keep the safety, team culture and working conditions of our staff at the forefront of our mind.  We are seeking the following team member who will share this in joining the team;
