We are looking for an experienced Trades Assistant to join our Perth, WA team.

Schlumberger Peak Well Systems is seeking the services of suitably qualified Trades Assistant to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. 

The successful candidates will work in a team comprised of other assembly and workshop technicians and CNC Machinists who will be jointly responsible in ensuring the timely movement of tools through the workshop, with specific emphasis on the highest quality output and meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• Reside in Australia and have the full right to live and work in Australia.
• No travel restrictions.
• Daily workshop duties, including but not limited to:
  • Reading work orders
  • Use of AIMS database
  • Using hand tools
  • Sandblasting
  • Deburring
  • Engraving
  • Pressure washing
• Ensure deliveries and pick-ups are carried out in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Assisting Assembly team and Workshop Technicians on a daily basis with surface treatment of parts, sandblasting and other workshop activities.
• Receival of goods, including raw material that requires allocating to jobs and shelved efficiently ready for use by the machinists.
• Operate the forklift to load and unload trucks and safely move items around the workshop.
• General equipment and workshop maintenance as instructed and assist with continuous improvement projects.
• Regular inspection and maintenance of the PEAK utility to ensure it is in a very good condition and is safe for operation.
• General hand duties as directed.
• Responsible for ensuring that the highest QHSE standards are maintained and all policies, guidelines, standards and lawful directions are followed.
• Complete all training requirements and be willing to contribute to HSE reporting.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and relevant experience/ knowledge.
• Confident in the use of hand tools.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing drawings required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to details.
• Ability to work unsupervised while clearly executing instructions and meeting deadlines.
• Understanding and capability to adapt to changing deadlines.
• Good computer skills.
• Valid driver’s licence essential.
• Forklift licence essential.
