Situated on the doorstep to Bribie Island, Southern Pacific Sands is a growing and innovative business located on a high quality silica sand deposit. They have over the last 25 years established themselves as a reputable and successful wholesaler of high quality silica sand & other soil products to relevant industry customers.
Reporting directly to the Mine Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for providing effective supervision and coordination of all fixed & mobile maintenance activities on site. Your purpose will be to encourage, engage and empower your team to challenge existing operating efficiencies and to drive business and process improvements to optimise mobile/fixed plant availability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing, coaching and leading 6 direct reports to deliver maintenance activities safely within budget and timeframes.
- Ensuring maintenance plans are highly organised (daily, weekly, monthly) and completed.
- Actively monitoring work to ensure potential delays are anticipated and contingencies are in place to minimise any disruption to production.
- Working closely with the leadership team to monitor and maintain the maintenance budgets and take part in monthly and yearly forecast expenditure.
- Relevant trade qualifications.
- Strong & Relevant experience in a fixed plant environment (essential).
- Proven ability to manage, coach and influence others.
- Dredging or large pump experience would be desirable (not essential)
- SME business mindset with a hands on approach.
- Ability to develop constructive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement programs
