Our client is a Major Oil & Gas Leading Operator and they are seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer to support the Supervising Drilling Engineer, to take ownership of substantial drilling engineering tasks, mentor and support junior engineers.
The successful application will be responsible for conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
About the role:
You will be responsible for the protection of assets and the environment at all times, engineering and operational planning of wells and well activities in accordance with the WC&I Business Management System and legislative requirements.
Co-ordinate and compile well programmes in accordance with project. Lead or participate in workshops, meetings and reviews of plans/programmes equipment specifications and lessons learned to assure hazard/risk.
Identification, management and operational efficiency.Review well site data to verify that correct data is recorded, in order to create a high quality well site database for performance planning and evaluation. Also, assist in the development and maintenance of management system.
Qualifications and skills desirable:
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Drilling Industry.
Experience as Senior Drilling Engineer for a significant offshore subsea development Suite of drilling engineering capabilities: casing design, drilling fluid selection hydraulics, bits and drilling assembly selection, directional drilling planning, casing and cementing operations. Also, experience in preparing options for well designs and a high level of interpersonal and communications skills
