The Dyno Nobel Moranbah Plant is a fully-integrated Ammonium Nitrate complex based in Central Queensland. The facility comprises ammonia, nitric acid and ammonium nitrate plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.

The role

As a key member of the Production Department, the Production Training and Standardisation Coordinator is responsible for driving competency and training across the production teams through the development and implementation of a competency framework, training material and training plans.

The role will facilitate and maintain legislative training requirements across site and provide technical advice and guidance to all personnel for all training initiatives relating to mobile plant and equipment and other compliance training programs; providing mentoring and guidance to the production teams; and develop and deliver training to the production and maintenance teams to improve their technical and operational knowledge.

About you

  • Resourceful, robust and organised individual who has a motivated and energetic approach to your work and have an excellent ability to communicate with all work groups on site to get buy-in and drive improvement
  • Strong relationship building skills; well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, demonstrated project management competence and
  • Current "C" Drivers Licence
  • Experience with safety, quality, and training systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE Performance Standards, as well as Acts, and Regulations
  • Commitment to achieving Zero Harm through behavioural based safety leadership and Adherence to Rules to Live By
  • Appropriate licenses and high risk qualifications for mobile plant and equipment preferred


Desirable (but not essential)

  • Trade qualification and/or other related industry qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Experience in a continuous petrochemical plants or similar heavy industrial plants, whether this be as a process technician, tradesperson or other role and are familiar with the training and competency requirements for this type of industry
