About the role

Located at our power station at Eildon (north of Melbourne and south of Mt. Beauty), we have an exciting opportunity for a Works Team Leader to focus on planning, organizing and supervising maintenance works, leading and developing a multi-discipline trades and operator workforce, and performing administrative functions and projects (as required) for works and personnel. 

Key accountabilities

The role would have five direct reports and would be responsible for managing Capex and    Opex projects as delegated by the Hydro Manager and will include the supervision and induction of AGL employees and contractors.

Some of the key accountabilities are as follows:

  • To Supervise, develop, mentor and motivate the team to perform day to day work activities.
  • To plan, perform and lead planned and unplanned maintenance activities
  • Prepare work records and reports as required, including input into SAP and also review and update documents, drawings and procedures, as required.
  • Plan, direct and control projects/works and administer contracts.
  • Ensure works are only commenced and undertaken in compliance with commercial protocols.
  • Ensure and support HSE reviews to ensure that compliance against AGL HSEMS standards in maintained.

Some of the key skills we are looking for are as follows:

  • Demonstrated experience in a maintenance leadership role.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills to enable successful liaison at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Systems savvy- Experience with SAP would be highly regarded.
  • Written communication and IT skills to prepare technical and administrative records/reports in a clear, concise manner.
  • Well-developed analytical and technical problem-solving skills with good time management.
  • Experience operating within a power station or Heavy Industrial environment would be highly regarded.
