Our client is experiencing strong positive growth and is looking to strengthen their team to meet the requirements of their clients by delivering the best possible results safely. The client would like to meet with talented individuals from a Contractor background who are keen to develop and progress their career and will welcome that challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for mine design and scheduling, which will include mining method optimisations, cut-off grade estimation, long term ventilation design, development optimisation, risk assessments.
- Prepare technical documentation, financial data and presentations to make recommendations on best practice and opportunities.
- Identify and lead improvement projects for the site.
- As a technical leader you will be part of the site team that will problem solve and review mining procedures.
- Ensure that all regulatory and safety procedures are compliant.
Experience & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering. Ideally hold a Mine Managers Certificate or have the required experience to gain the certification.
- Must have at least 3 years’ Open Pit experience as a Senior Mining Engineer gained with an Australian Mining Operation.
- Experience within Design, Planning, Scheduling, Evaluation as well as Drill & Blast.
- Successful track record of liaising with clients as well as internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a passion for delivering safety as a priority.
- Be able to lead teams to deliver the require results in a safe manner.
