About the opportunity

Reporting to the Delivery Performance Manager, we have an opportunity available  in Melbourne for a Business Analyst to join our Planning & Contracting team in Service Delivery. 

This role will be responsible for designing and developing reporting automation for Jemena Network Assets. It is also responsible for ensuring information reported is accurate, reliable and up to date to enable Management to make properly informed business decisions.

What we’re looking for

The successful candidate will bring with them the following qualifications, skills and experience;

• Degree level qualification in IT, Business, Accounting or Commerce (essential),
• Demonstrated understanding of project methodology, Project Management certificate (desirable),
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in either a Finance, Program and Project reporting environment, especially in the reporting automation area.
• Demonstrated experience within the Utilities business (desirable),
• Demonstrated skills in MS Office applications to an advanced level for MS Excel, MS Project, Visio (essential),
• SAP Business Object skill is mandatory, especially in Web Intelligence reporting tool. Tableau, and MS Power BI are desirable.
• Knowledge in data modelling, process improvements and reporting tool performance concept is desirable.
• Advanced computer literacy skills sufficient to operate word processing, presentation, project management and financial information systems,
• Knowledge of the operational financial planning process; including forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis and sensitivity analysis,
• Identification and articulation of key business drivers and KPI measures,
• Continuous improvement mindset,
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously,
• Must possess excellent verbal, interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.

With a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships and work as part of a team, this role requires someone with well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills who has the ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder requirements.
