The Mining Group is coordinated through a network of mining specialists located in our North America, Latin America and EMEA & APAC (Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia and Asia Pacific) regions.  The Mining Group provides a series of unique service packages that cover environment, mine design, operation and waste management, and mine closure and rehabilitation.
 
We are seeking a Mine/Asset Closure Specialist to work closely with our multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers to develop and deliver integrated mine closure solutions. As a key member of the Golder Mining Group, this senior role will grow our business in line with our business plan and strategy.   The successful person will have a track record in building business, working within teams, and have experience in mining operations. 
 
Primary functions:

• Contribute to and implement our mine closure strategy
• Provide technical input and project direction, with a key focus on mine closure planning,
• Provide Project or Technical Direction, overseeing and coordinating large, multi-disciplinary mine closure projects
• Strengthen Golder’s market position by proactively seeking internal and external opportunities

Key criteria:

• Substantial experience in mine rehabilitation and mine closure planning
• Appropriate qualifications
• A proven track record in the delivery of large, multi-disciplinary projects on-time and on-budget
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in a consulting environment.
