NEMMS JV is a well-established Indigenous Mining & Civil Contractor, operating throughout Western Australia, with a focus on the Pilbara Region. We are a client focused organisation with a strong track record in the successful delivery of contracts in mining, civil and bulk handling projects.
We are currently seeking experienced HD Fitters for various sites across the Pilbara. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, will use their initiative to effectively manage their workload and will be able to work autonomously in remote areas on a 2 and 1 roster.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and air systems;
- Major repairs and servicing of a variety of equipment from bobcats and road trucks through to large wheel loaders and dump trucks;
- Ensure equipment is maintained safely and timely to minimise cost and increase productivity;
- Undertake necessary risk and pre-task assessments;
- Technical guidance & support to operations personnel;
- Effective management of documentation and reporting as per client and company requirements.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Trade Qualified as Heavy Duty Mechanic with 3+ years’ post trade experience;
- Experience working in a mining environment doing FIFO;
- Highly skilled in diagnostics and fault finding
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work safely;
- Good time management and work prioritisation skills;
- Able to work individually and in a team;
- HR unrestricted drivers’ license desirable but not essential;
- CAT equipment experience desirable but not essential;
- Fork Lift License, rigging/dogging qualifications, 4WD ticket, working at height and senior first aid desirable but not essential.
