Short Term Planning Superintendent
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Planning Superintendent to join the Eliwana project. Reporting to the Manager – Studies, this role is responsible for the initial mine planning and technical requirements for the Project, and later the successful establishment and ramp up of the site technical team.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Provide the Eliwana project team a key contact for any mine planning requirements or interfaces
- Developing detailed design and planning data to meet approvals submission requirements
- Preparation of mine plans and associated physicals and cost data to required company timeframes and standards
- Providing technical data and input into the mining contracts process
- Development of site technical management plans
- Establishment of, and managing a technical team responsible for the Eliwana mine aligned with the project development schedule
- Transition the technical team to site for mine establishment, development and ramp up
- Assisting operational superintendents and supervisors in understanding and implementing production and development schedules
Qualifications and skills required:
- Minimum Mining Engineering bachelor degree or equivalent together with preferably postgraduate qualifications in mining engineering or relevant field
- Previous experience in operations is essential and exposure to project development will be highly regarded
- WA Unrestricted Quarry Manager Certificate
- At least 7 years experience, preferably in large open pit iron ore mining with exposure to production operations, mine planning, geology, geotechnical, drill and blast and mine surveying
- Excellent communication, time management, organizational and continuous improvement skills
- Experience in managing and mentoring a small team of technical personnel
